The Still app is owned and operated by The Othernet, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information from and about you when you use our App and related services (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to provide our focus and productivity services.
A. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers:
- Focus Session Data: Task names, durations, start/end times, and completion status.
- Phone Pickup Data: Timestamps of when you picked up your phone during focus sessions.
- Focus Statistics: Aggregated metrics such as success rate, total focus time, and perfect session counts.
- Subscription Status: A local record of your premium subscription status for offline access.
B. Information Processed by Third-Party Services
- AI Coaching Conversations: When you interact with the AI Coach feature, your messages are sent to our AI service provider (Anthropic) for processing. These conversations are not stored on our servers after processing is complete.
- Subscription Transactions: When you purchase a premium subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not have access to your payment details.
C. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not require account creation or login.
- We do not collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we process for the following purposes:
- To Provide the Services: To track your focus sessions, calculate your success statistics, and display your progress history.
- AI Coaching: To provide personalized coaching responses when you pick up your phone during a focus session.
- Subscription Management: To verify your premium subscription status and provide access to premium features.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- AI Service Provider: Your coaching conversations are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details.
- Platform Providers: Subscription transactions are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective privacy policies.
- Legal Compliance: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
4. Data Retention
Your focus session data and statistics are stored locally on your device. This data persists until you uninstall the app or clear app data. We do not retain AI coaching conversations after they are processed.
5. Your Rights
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it:
- Access: View your session history and statistics within the app.
- Deletion: Uninstall the app or clear app data to delete all locally stored information.
- Portability: Your data remains on your device and is not synced to external servers.
6. Children's Privacy
Still is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app or on our website.
